March Marketing Dates to Remember + Post Ideas!

Happy Spring! We’re betting you’re just a little tired of winter (and record-breaking storms). Not to worry- spring is right around the corner if it hasn’t already sprung where you live.

What better way to celebrate than to freshen up your social media with some seasonal posts? Read on for the months, weeks, and days of celebration to keep in mind in March.

    • Raises awareness and support for the disease and those affected by it
  • National Craft Month
    • Encourages all mediums of creative activity
  • National Nutrition Month
    • Focuses on the importance of physical fitness and dietary nutrition
  • National Women’s History Month
    • Honors influential women throughout history as well as their contributions towards gender equality
  • National Social Work Month
    • Recognizes the dedication and importance of social workers in our communities

March Monthly Post Ideas

A few ways to implement these:

  • Make an Instagram post or write a blog article honoring the trailblazing women in your industry in general or those who have personally inspired you
  • Show off how you get creative or crafty in your free time. Invite your followers to share their creative hobbies as well.
  • Repost an informational image or article that raises awareness for multiple sclerosis. Feel free to do this for other causes or diseases you are passionate about as well.
  • If you’re a food blogger or restaurant owner, dedicate more time or posts to educating your audience on the benefits of a balanced diet. Support this with nutritious meal plans or recipe ideas.

  • Do an audit of your social media to make sure everything you’re posting and typing is having the impact you want it to. (Bonus: Learn a few new vocab words to sprinkle in and give your writing more zest)

March Daily Post Ideas

Ways to recognizes these dates on social media:

  • Try going 24 hours without screens on March 5. Giving yourself time to step away may actually inspire your next great idea
  • Schedule an appreciation post to recognize women in your life or pioneers in your industry on International Women’s Day.
  • Get creative with your business to take advantage of National Promposal Day. Brainstorm ways your product or service could be used for a ‘promposal’. Perhaps you sell personalized jewelry that could be customized to spell out “Prom?” Or, maybe you make charcuterie boards that could be arranged in the shape of the question. Post the results of your creativity on social media and see where it leads!
  • Run a giveaway on your Instagram on National Good Samaritan Day. Have your followers submit stories of those in their lives that act unselfishly for others. Choose the most moving story and gift them a version of your product or service.
  • On National ‘Let’s Laugh’ Day, take some time to peruse Instagram or Pinterest for some cheeky memes or lighthearted jokes. Repin or regram the best ones. (Bonus points if they’re jokes related to your field of business!)
  • Don’t forget to celebrate yourself and your achievements as a business owner on National ‘Mom and Pop’ Business Owners Day. Write a blog post chronicling your journey with your business or make an Instagram post to commemorate the day.
  • Don’t forget to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️

Now take a moment to breathe easy knowing that warm weather is on the way and your content calendar is taken care of for another month.

This month you’ll be able to grow your social media, grow your business, and  grow some flowers, all while cutting down on content planning and research time.

Happy Posting!
